Coming into the University of Arizona, Bradley Moreno knew right away that he wanted to find a major within Eller. During his freshman year, he lived in the La Paz Pre-Business Living-Learning Community, to which he credits his success in Eller. Specifically, Moreno said the friendships forged in La Paz, and being surrounded by motivated people, gave him the edge. With his solid pre-business background freshman year, becoming heavily involved in Eller was natural.
Moreno did not waste time finding organizations on campus that would help him enhance his future in the business world. As a freshman, he joined the Eller Board of Honor and Integrity, where he is currently the president. He is also involved in the MIS department’s Zipperman Scholars, the Entrepreneurship Student Association, and the social fraternity Pi Kappa Phi.
“The most influential professor to me during my time here so far has been Paul Melendez,” Moreno said. “As the advisor of Eller Board of Honor and Integrity, he has given me many opportunities that most students do not get, as well as the ability to network with multiple leaders in the community.”
Moreno’s determination and commitment to his future helped him land prestigious internships over the past two summers. The summer of his sophomore year, Moreno interned as an IT business analyst with Marathon Oil Corporation in Houston. “I enjoyed my experience, but knew that with one more summer left before I graduated, I wanted to gain a different view before deciding what I wanted to do when I launch my career,” he said.
Accordingly, Moreno interned with Deloitte & Touche this summer as a technology risk consultant. For Moreno, this was a completely different experience in the professional services industry. He said he is excited about the possibility of working with multiple clients across industries. Both experiences helped Moreno approach his goal of becoming a consultant for one of the top firms in a major U.S. city.
