Eller MBA Program Moves Up in U.S. News & World Report Graduate Rankings
Entrepreneurship and Management Information Systems gain ground in specialty assessments
TUCSON, Ariz. – March 15, 2012 – The University of Arizona Eller College of Management Full-Time MBA program moved up from #63 to #57 in the 2013 graduate rankings conducted by U.S. News and World Report, out this week. The part-time Evening MBA program for working professionals came in at #44.
The College also gained ground in business specialties. The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) moved up from #7 to #5 overall, behind MIT and ahead of Stanford and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton). The department is ranked #4 among public schools nationwide.
The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship moved up two slots from #10 to #8 overall, behind Harvard, Stanford, MIT, the University of California Berkeley, and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton). The program is #4 among public institutions.
U.S. News’s rankings, released March 13, included new methodology for part-time MBA programs, which are ranked according to peer assessment, average GMAT score, average undergraduate GPA, work experience, and the percentage of a business school’s Fall 2011 MBA enrollment that is part time.
