Eller Evening MBA Program Jumps 21 Spots in U.S. News Rankings
TUCSON, Ariz. – March 11, 2014 – The University of Arizona Eller College of Management Evening MBA program moved up 21 slots, from #46 to #25, in the 2015 graduate rankings conducted by U.S. News and World Report, out today. The Full-Time MBA program ranked #48 overall, and #23 among public university programs.
This is the third year of upward momentum for the Eller MBA, which was named an “MBA Program on the Rise” by the publication two years ago.
“The leap in recognition for our Evening MBA comes on the heels of several strategic initiatives that we have enacted,” said Hope Schau, associate dean of Eller MBA programs. “Among them is improving our curriculum for working professionals by providing a wide variety of elective options, investing in support staff and academic support to enhance the student experience, providing cross-platform networking opportunities with alumni and industry leaders, and increasing our admissions standards.”
Eller College continued its strong showing in business specialties. The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) came in at #5 overall and #3 among public programs.
The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship maintained its slot at #11 overall and #5 among public programs, coming in behind Harvard, Stanford, and MIT.
The Department of Economics at the Eller College maintained its slot at #36 overall and #16 among public university programs.
The MBA rankings takes into consideration a series of factors including peer and recruiter reputation, average GMAT, average starting salary, percentage of employed students upon graduation, and more.
