IASEC Research

IASEC participates in community education and related outreach activities when possible.

Our latest outreach activities include:

Education (K-12)

  • Salpointe High School in Tucson, Arizona
A memo of understanding has been signed with Salpointe to provide guest classroom lectures on cybersecurity from available lecturers within the Department of Management Information Systems.
  • GenCyber is a nation-wide grant program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Security Agency (NSA). The MIS department received GenCyber grants during 2014 and 2017. GynCyber promotes and hosts scholarship camps for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and their teachers. These camps involve hands-on and investigative activities to educate about the principles, risks, and applications of cybersecurity, social media, and mobile app development.
