Elementary Teachers:
Back by popular demand! This program is for any southern Arizona K-6 educator interested in using children’s literature to fulfill the Arizona Social Sciences requirements in economics and personal finance, in a fun and colorful way, without adding to an already crowded schedule. These books and lessons will integrate economics into English Language Arts, and many have math elements too!

Registrants will join a Google classroom where they can explore ten children’s books, each accompanied by a detailed lesson plan that supports students’ education in economics and at least one additional discipline.

Participants who complete all required tasks (two brief written responses and a survey) will be sent a free book of the book of their choice and a certificate for 3 professional development hours.

Hosted by the UA Office of Economic Education, with funding from the Thomas R. Brown Foundation.

Details and registration coming this summer.
