Temple Grandin Brings Inspiration to the University of Arizona

The Eller College of Management's Center for Management Innovations in Healthcare (CMIH), in partnership with the UA College of Veterinary Medicine, was proud to host a public seminar featuring renowned animal scientist and autism advocate Temple Grandin on March 19, 2026.
Held at the Health Sciences Innovation Building (HSIB) on the University of Arizona campus, the seminar drew attendees both in person and online for an engaging conversation on innovation, neurodiversity, and the intersection of animal and human welfare.
Grandin's pioneering work transformed livestock welfare through innovative facility design and sparked global change in the livestock industry. Her contributions have also deepened understanding of mental health and neurodiversity, inspiring greater acceptance and compassion in both animals and humans.
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Grandin for sharing her time, insights, and passion with our community. Her message — to embrace disruptive thinking, champion unique perspectives, and advocate for mental health — left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
