Aditi Khatri is a Ph. D. Candidate (5th year) at the University of Arizona.
Her research primarily explores financial topics using archival methods, with a special interest in two broad themes- information transmission through media and information spillover and disclosure, and their implications for the equity market. In her dissertation she examines the impact of news sharing (defined as network dissemination of earnings news from traditional media) on stock market response.
There is an increased need for data analytics skills in the current data-driven business environment, and Aditi is passionate to develop and integrate data analytics in accounting courses owing to her background in engineering and programming. Prior to her Ph.D., she worked as an analyst in the technology division at Goldman Sachs. Additionally, she has the Chartered Financial Analyst (Level II) certification. She has taught financial accounting at the University of Arizona and has served as a teaching assistant for a graduate-level accounting course. She has also conducted SAS, STATA, and Python programming camps for doctoral students.
