Eller MBA Ambassador
Dual-Degree MBA/Master of Public Health, Concentrations in Healthcare Management, Certificates in Science Communication and College Teaching
I’m a Tucson local, and I love it here. Tucson always has and always will be home. There’s great weather, and we’ve been designated a city of gastronomy (lots of awesome food).
After graduating with my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, I began co-teaching undergraduate classes focused on professional development concepts for pre-health students. I also managed a local demolition office for about a year and worked in the service industry for seven years.
I wanted to go to graduate school to gain as much exposure to the different aspects of healthcare as possible before deciding whether or not to apply to medical school. I was initially interested in returning as a master’s student to study public health but found the dual degree master’s with business administration to be a much better fit.
The Eller MBA offers many opportunities for experiential learning and professional growth. Between the curricular offerings and career support, I was sold on Eller. I opted to start my dual degree in the MBA program in order to have access to the program resources all three years (instead of just two).
As someone entering business school with a science background, I’ve truly enjoyed the challenges presented by the program and have grown my business acumen immensely. During 2019, I served as the president of the MBA Student Association and have a passion for contributing back to campus.
Please feel free to send me an email and ask me about the Eller MBA program, dual degrees, campus life and culture, student involvement, Tucson or the University of Arizona.
Bear Down! (You can ask me what that means too).
