Jacob received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah State University and a Master’s of Business Administration in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he was recipient of the Alfred K. Knight award for graduating first in his class. Prior to entering the doctoral program at the University of Arizona, Jacob worked in several accounting capacities, including as internal auditor, controller, and SEC reporting analyst, and in several industries, including manufacturing, mining, and non-profit. Jacob's research interests include corporate governance, monitoring mechanisms (including audit committees and internal/external auditing), and stakeholder information processing. In his free time, Jacob enjoys riding road bikes, mountain bikes, and motorcycles, as well as reading, writing music, and spending time with his wife and three children.
