Eller MBA Ambassador
I am a native of the Washington, D.C. area and graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a B.A. in History in 2018. Over the next two years following graduation, I worked for a U.S. Congressman from Texas as a member of his legislative staff. In that role, I drafted several bills on policy issues important to the Member, monitored developments on other key issues, and wrote weekly op-ed articles for local publications in the district.
The past two years in U.S. politics were certainly interesting and eventful in our history, however I decided it was time to change direction to develop my skills in business. While applying to M.B.A. programs, Eller College of Management stood out as an especially compelling option. Its reputation and record of commitment for creating opportunities for its students to excel in the theoretical and real world of business enterprise made it a unique and appealing choice. Its emphasis on connecting students through internships with leading companies is a remarkable opportunity to learn firsthand how some of the best minds tackle some of the most challenging decisions. I believe the opportunity to study and immerse myself in this program has broadened my horizons, both academically and personally. Interacting with my fellow graduate students and learning from their experiences as well is a vital part of this journey.
The Eller faculty has been impressive with how it has managed and adapted to these challenging COVID-era times. While virtual classes have required some adjustment, students and faculty have partnered in making every effort to make this semester work seamlessly.
I would be delighted to discuss these experiences in more detail and answer any questions you may have anytime. The strengths of an Eller graduate degree are limitless, and I look forward to helping you make the most of them.
