Megan Kirts teaches AP Macroeconomics at Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson. She serves as a reader and item writer for Educational Testing Service as well as an instructor of economics professional development for the Thomas R. Brown Foundation and the University of Arizona Office of Economics Education. She also works with the TCI Foundation’s 3rd Decade Program, creating and presenting personal finance classes for people in their 20s and 30s. She has served on the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank's Education Advisory Group and has won a James Madison Memorial Fellowship (2005), the Ed Eisele Award for Excellence in Economics Education (2014), a Transatlantic Outreach Program Fellowship (2016) and Catalina Foothills School District Teacher of the Year (2016).
