Tucson Evening MBA
I'm a born and raised midwesterner who successfully adapted to life in the Sonoran desert. I've learned to love all of the stark differences that Tucson has to offer -- the summer heat, monsoons, mountains, and saguaros. I have experience as a former corporate trainer and development coordinator, so I had high standards when it came to selecting a graduate school for my MBA. Academically and professionally I value education, transparency, strategic decision making, and high ethical standards, and I found all of these features at Eller.
Being in the workforce for over a decade, I decided to pursue my MBA to modernize my skillset, increase my professional network, and learn more about the world around me. I had interest in business strategy, use of information systems, and finance. I was also a little intimidated by the prospect of studying and applying my (not so sharp) math skills. By the end of orientation, these fears had melted away. I found myself in an environment that was filled with a cast of supportive, knowledgeable, and caring individuals. I knew that I had made the right choice and that I would be successful.
Throughout the program, I've enjoyed the academic rigor, flexing my new skills, and meeting tons of new people along the way. In fact, during my second year, I accepted the role of President of the Professional Student MBA Association so that I could give back to my peers and have a positive influence on the program. Please feel free to reach out to me via email with any questions about the program, balancing work and academics, student leadership opportunities, or the University of Arizona. I may not have all the answers, but thanks to my network, I am confident I know someone who does.
