Using Data to Predict Student Retention
The first years of college are crucial deciders of a student’s likelihood to graduate—and most university freshmen use their scannable ID cards everywhere. So INSITE researchers came up with a powerful idea: track freshmen’s traffic around campus to pinpoint factors that help predict whether they’ll see their education through to graduation.
Chronic Disease Trends in Arizona Counties
With chronic disease being the most frequent (and preventable) cause of death in Arizona, INSITE worked closely with the Arizona Department of Health Services to analyze 915,355 chronic disease-related patient visits over the course of four years. The aim: to better understand these diseases, their populations and their costs.
