New Venture Development Program
At Arizona, any undergraduate or graduate student can participate in this yearlong, team-based program to learn the principles of entrepreneurship and innovation. In just one year, you’ll build a new venture from the ground up.
Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs for Eller Students
Entrepreneurship Major
Eller undergraduates who are accepted into the McGuire New Venture Development program can complete its two core courses and additional marketing and finance classes to earn a major in entrepreneurship. It’s an excellent way to add even more business value to your first Eller major.
Social Innovation Certificate
If you’re interested in using the skills you’re gaining here at Eller to make your community a better place to live and work, you can earn an Eller Social Innovation Certificate. It requires three courses and offers the opportunity to engage with your local community and small businesses—and help them change for the better.
Eller Entrepreneurship and Innovation Capstone
The perfect capstone for an Eller senior’s program, the course Innovating: Creating the Future gets students ready to step into the professional world. Applying all the business skills you’ve learned throughout your years at Eller, you’ll identify and solve a real-world problem.
Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs for Arizona Non-BSBA Students
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor
Arizona students outside of Eller can complete 18 or more class units to earn a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation. Whatever your planned career path, the practical skills and innovative mindset of the entrepreneur will enhance your marketability in the real world.
Certificate in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Development
Students in other university majors can be admitted into our yearlong McGuire New Venture Development program. By completing its two courses plus three additional related courses, you can earn a certificate that stands out to employers in any field.
Graduate Entrepreneurship Programs
Online Master's in Entrepreneurship
Develop a foundation in the principles and practices of entrepreneurship and innovation with the skills and tools you need to lead as an entrepreneur, whether in your own startup or a corporate setting.
MBA Entrepreneurship Concentration
Eller MBA students can apply to participate in the McGuire New Venture Development program for their final year of study to earn an entrepreneurship concentration with their MBA.
Applied Doctoral Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Arizona doctoral students can earn a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation. Taking a two-semester course in new venture development as well as two other entrepreneurship courses, you’ll change the way you approach problem-solving in your own research and future career.
Youth Entrepreneurship Education
The McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship is committed to helping entrepreneurially minded high school students develop their ideas and become agents for change. The Center supports youth summer camps, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA), Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) and the Business Careers Awareness Program (BCAP).
