Fall 2025 BCOM 314R In-Person Case Competition: “Business Communication”
Our faculty, staff, and students excitedly welcome your engagement with a brand new sponsor for this fall's Business Communication Case Competition. All upper-division business majors will apply their strategic thinking skills during this in-person case competition to introduce new communication strategies for a select Arizona-based organization. Your unique combination of personal perspective and business experience can be a gift to our students as they vie for top honors in this fun and competitive event.
As a valued evaluator and judge in this signature event, you may opt to enjoy a brief, catered networking lunch just before the competition begins with other business professionals who also volunteer their service to this event. We will of course pay for your on-campus parking in the Park Avenue Garage next to McClelland Hall for the duration of the event (see schedule below). This is a digital-first event, which means we encourage you to bring an electronic device (laptop, phone, or tablet) on which you feel comfortable completing feedback for each team you observe. If you cannot provide your own electronic device, we can provide a limited number for your convenience in evaluating students.

- 11:30am – 12:00pm Optional judges’ lunch in the Eller PDC Room 201 A/B
- 12:00 – 12:45pm Mandatory judges' norming session at the Eller PDC Room 201 A/B
- 12:45 - 1:00pm Judges report to assigned competition room
- 1:00 - 3:00pm Student teams present (10-minute break included)
- 3:20 - 3:30pm Judges provide general comments and feedback to students
- 3:30 - 3:45pm Judges select room winner
- 4:00 - 4:30pm Competition sponsor remarks and awards ceremony
50 Judges Needed
