The Center for Trust Studies (CTS) in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona will host a Distinguished Speaker Seminar on April 30 at 8:00 a.m. Arizona Time.
The session will feature a presentation by Ron Burt, Distinguished Professor at Bocconi University and Charles M. Harper Leadership Professor of Sociology and Strategy Emeritus at the University of Chicago. The title of the presentation is “Fourth Generation Brokerage: Trust and History Come Center Stage.” You can find an abstract here. Registration is required (registration link below).
“Ron Burt’s upcoming talk examines how research on brokerage is evolving beyond structural holes to focus more directly on trust and relationship history,” says Oliver Schilke, professor of management and organizations in the Eller College and CTS director. “At the center of the talk is the idea that trust is what makes bridging relationships durable and valuable.”
Supported by the National Science Foundation, CTS hosts a series of workshops on trust, develops teaching tools on trust, and gets students from a variety of diverse backgrounds actively engaged in trust research.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting, including a passcode to enter.
