Title: Internet Routing Security

Abstract: For the billions of data packets traveling on the Internet everyday, routing is their navigation system that directs every packet on its path from the source to the destination. The global routing system plays a critical role in the proper functioning of the Internet, and yet, it was designed without security in mind, and after years of effort it is still far from being secured. In this talk, I will briefly explain how Internet routing works, what security problems it has, and review various efforts in attack prevention, monitoring, and mitigation.
