TUCSON, Arizona – University of Arizona McGuire Entrepreneurship Program students will publicly present their innovative new ventures for the very first time at the McGuire on the Mall trade show 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 26 on the UA Mall by the student union. The McGuire Program is an offering of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the UA Eller College of Management.

McGuire on the Mall will feature 22 exciting new ventures developed by students in the McGuire Program class of 2015. The startups aim to solve problems in a wide range of industries – from energy, food and health to safety, marketing and fashion – using apps, e-commerce sites, physical products, peer-to-peer services and more. For a detailed list of this year’s new ventures, please see the attached pages.

Many startup teams will showcase prototypes and offer samples at their booths, while others will feature photo booths, competitions for prizes, snacks and giveaways. Visitors will have the opportunity to provide feedback for beta products and sign up for exclusive early loyalty programs for benefits and discounts on products after launch.

"McGuire on the Mall is an excellent opportunity for McGuire Program students to gain experience presenting their new ventures to the public," said McGuire Entrepreneurship Program Director Patty Sias. "It's also an exciting opportunity for UA students and the public to learn more about the program and get a glimpse of our student innovations before our signature event, the McGuire New Venture Competition and Showcase on May 1."

Named the "crown jewel" of the University of Arizona by USA Today/The Princeton Review, the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program is a competitive, globally recognized academic program open to UA seniors and graduate students from all fields of study. Students accepted into the McGuire Program receive a year of intensive experiential education that engages them in the process of moving innovation from an early-stage idea to a sustainable investor-ready venture.
