1.) What do you do on a typical day at work?

While no day is ever typical in my role as the industry and season is always changing, my primary goal is to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day aspects associated with the implementation, development, and retention of assigned corporate partner sponsorship accounts for the LA Clippers. Within each sponsorship deal can range from a plethora of elements including community events, on-court promotions, social media content, hospitality, tv, radio & more.

2.) What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

While I have a copious amount of roles I am thankful for, the most reward aspect has to be the impact I can make on others. Just over the past two seasons I helped lead in the collaboration and fulfilling of a playground refurbishment and bike build for kids who have a parent serving our country oversees. Both of these events I was able to see pure appreciation and joy as kids received a new playground to play in or a brand new bike to ride. These types of activations are just a brief example of the overarching impact I can create not only in the youth but to all ages, both in the community and at the arena.

3.) In what ways did Eller prepare you for your job?

I cannot preface enough how much Eller has contributed to where I am at today. When I was a Junior, I got connected to an Eller advisor who had an emphasis in the sports industry. He then connected me to a sales representative at the San Diego Padres, who then introduced me to the entire sales leadership team there. Flashforward a little over a year and I have my first inside sales position with their team right after college.

Not only that but everything Eller does from a preparation and guidance standpoint is unmatched. Eller really helped me develop interpersonal relationship skills that are so applicable to my role & field. They also instilled in me a drive to always pursue my ambitions and never settle for less. I can’t thank Eller enough for the overall support they provided me with from the day I was admitted to the college.

4.) Advice for student looking to enter your industry/company?

My advice to those looking to enter the industry is to get as heavily involved on the job and networking side as you can. The sports field is extremely arduous to breakthrough and very few get the opportunity so you have to stand out from the pack. I got my first internship stint at IMG college with the help of the Sports Marketing Association (SMA), a club I highly recommend if you’re looking to get involved with a plethora of different aspects in the industry. I also can’t stress enough the importance of informational interviews. And after you connect with these people, follow-up! One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever gotten was the importance of cultivating and further developing relationships in unique and personal ways. I truly feel this had a monumental effect in how I got my first job out of college in sports.

5.) Your favorite UA/Eller memory?

Nothing was a better feeling than having my named called as I was crossing the Eller stage at graduation. While I have so many Arizona Athletics moments I will never forget, being the first-generation college graduate on my mom’s side will always hold a special place in my heart.
