Eller’s Director of Grad Recruitment Interviewed by Tucson’s ABC Affiliate on International Student Enrollment

Bruce Watson, director of specialty master’s recruitment at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, was featured in an October 27 KGUN 9 (ABC) clip where he explains the effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had on international student enrollment.

While the biggest barrier for international students has been obtaining their visas, Watson says that the Eller College has been flexible with providing options to those students—these include deferring enrollment, waiving some application fees and removing testing requirements.

“We understand that they’re not able to join us this year, but we’d love for them to join us next year,” says Watson. So far, more than half of the international students who applied to Eller with the intention of attending this year have committed to attending next fall.
