Internship Spotlight: Soumya Seemakurti, LKR

Soumya Seemakurti is an Accounting and Entrepreneurship major graduating in the Fall of 2022. This summer she interned for LKR as an Audit Intern in Tucson, Arizona.

What was the process for getting this internship, job, or summer experience?

We spoke a little bit about how the internship would be and then there was an interview and final talks.

What was a typical day like?

A typical day was flexible, and there were weeks that I worked for 30 - 35 hours and sometimes less.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part was how friendly and approachable the managers and other staff were.

If you worked on a big project, please describe it below:

I worked in taxes before, but Audit was new. Although I didn't work on big projects, I worked on several audit tests and it was a great learning experience.
