Hannah Hatton '22 (BSBA Business Management) is a Sales Management Intern at Frit-Lay/PepsiCo in Tucson, AZ

What was the process for getting this internship/job? I applied online with my resume and then I had an interview over zoom with the manager of the Tucson office, shortly after that I heard from HR that I was offered the position!

What type of projects do you work on? Each intern has their own project that we have been working on all summer, mine is focused on Core Unsaleables which focuses on the cause and understanding about our highest staling accounts.

What is your favorite part of the experience? My favorite part of my experience was flying to Denver and meeting other Frito-Lay interns from different states and networking/hearing from senior leadership about their career paths within Frito-Lay!

What do you find most challenging? The most challenging part for me was learning about how the business works. When I first started it felt like a foreign language but as time went on I learned about important factors within the business and how to navigate new applications that I have never used before!

What are you learning? I am learning how to become more confident in my decision making and improving my networking skills!

What advice do you have for other students looking for similar experiences? Connect with people on LinkedIn! Even if you don’t personally know them it is good to connect with people who work in your field of interest!

How has Eller prepared you for this experience? Eller prepared me for this experience by teaching me the importance of teamwork and communication in the workplace.
