Internship Spotlight: Nathan Schulhof, PriceWaterHouseCoopers

Nathan Schulhof '23 BSBA (Accounting & Management Information Systems) was a Digital Assurance & Transparency Intern at PriceWaterHouseCoopers in Phoenix, Arizona.

What was the process of getting this internship, job, or summer experience?

Went to the recruiter's "Office Hours" hosted thru U of A. No one else showed up so it was a one-on-one experience that led to an interview with the Firm. I had two interviews, one of which was with a DAT Partner. I have some similar experiences as this Partner, which led to my job offer.

What was a typical day like?

I mostly completed audit work for various IT controls. I had multiple clients, so this involved managing my time effectively to be able to test different controls in a timely manner.

What advice do you have for other students looking for a similar experience, or advice for future students to be successful?

Don't stress during the interview, everyone at PwC wants you to succeed. The best way to get an internship with PwC is to find common ground between yourself and the interviewer, and by doing this you turn the interview into a conversation which makes it much easier.

Did you feel supported by the company or organization you worked with?

PwC is the most "people-focused" out of the B4 accounting firms and this was the reason I chose PwC over other B4. They offer remote options to all employees and lots of health benefits and flexible time. It taught me strong work ethic and time management skills.
