Centennial Hall was full of energy and anticipation as the Eller College of Management celebrated its Spring 2025 Graduate Convocation on May 15. Master’s students from across Eller’s programs gathered with family, friends, faculty and staff to mark the successful completion of their graduate studies.

The event served as both a celebration and a transition point, recognizing the dedication, perseverance and academic accomplishments of this year’s graduates as they prepare to enter or advance in their professional careers.

In his dean’s address, Karthik Kannan, dean and Halle Chair in Leadership, highlighted the importance of strategic leadership and planning.

Drawing from the Thirukkural, an ancient Tamil text, he shared Kural 675: “By assessing our resources, preparing the right tools, choosing the optimal time and place, and meticulously planning our actions, a leader can minimize risks and increase the likelihood of success.” He encouraged graduates to carry these principles forward as they step into new roles and challenges.

“This graduation ceremony is not just a celebration of individual triumphs,” he said to the graduates' friends and families, “but a collective acknowledgment of the unwavering support you have provided our graduates. This achievement is as much yours as it is theirs.”

Convocation remains one of the most meaningful events of the year for the Eller community—a time when the hard work of students comes to fruition, and they officially join the growing network of Eller alumni making an impact across industries and around the world.

Congratulations to the Spring 2025 Eller master’s graduates as they take the next step in their professional journeys.
