Eller College Honors Walt Zipperman with Naming of MIS Seminar Room

The Eller College of Management is proud to recognize the exceptional generosity, leadership, and impact of Walt Zipperman by renaming the seminar room in the Management Information Systems office the Walt Zipperman Seminar Room.
An expert in enterprise resource planning (ERP), Walt has built an impressive career that includes top executive roles at Computer Sciences Corporation and Xerox. In 1995, he founded DAZ Systems, which grew to become the largest implementer of Oracle’s SaaS applications in the world. The eventual sale of DAZ to Accenture further cemented Walt’s legacy as a visionary in the tech consulting space.
Walt’s professional achievements are matched by his deep and ongoing commitment to the Eller College. In 2006, he established the Zipperman Scholars Program, giving underclassmen early exposure to MIS. Five years ago, he expanded that vision with the Advanced Zipperman Associates (AZA), a two-year program supporting juniors and seniors pursuing tech consulting careers.
In addition to his philanthropy, Walt has generously given his time and insight. He has served on the MIS Advisory Board and the Eller College National Board of Advisors, where he recently completed a multi-year term as Board President. He shares his industry knowledge in the classroom through guest lectures on ERP implementation and regularly engages with both Zipperman Scholars and AZA students. Walt has even opened his home to host Eller alumni events.
In recognition of the many ways Walt has supported the College, he was named the 2019 Eller College Alumnus of the Year. Now we are proud to honor his continued dedication and support with the naming of this seminar room.
Thank you, Walt, for all you’ve done, and continue to do, for Eller and the next generation of business and tech leaders.
