Ella Wolters '24 BSBA (Management Information Systems) was a Baseball Administrative Intern at Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles, California.

If you worked on a big project, please describe it:
I had the opportunity to lead a team of baseball operations interns on a cross-functional project. We were tasked with the job of evaluating how all 30 MLB  teams draft and develop players. We spent the summer creating a model and researching the processes of how teams draft and develop. At the end of the summer we presented our findings to the whole organization.

How did Eller prepare you for this experience?
Eller prepared me for this experience by providing me with opportunities to grow my networking skills. Being comfortable talking to new people was a skill that I developed thanks to Eller, and proved to be extremely useful for me this summer.

What advice do you have for future students with a similar interest?
My biggest piece of advice is to be willing and available when it comes to working in sports. There is no job too small and being willing to do these jobs can show your dedication to being a part of the success of the organization.

What was your favorite part of the experience?
My favorite part of the experience was being a part of the Dodger’s draft room. It was an incredibly informative and engaging experience that I will never forget. I had the chance to hear the conversations and thought processes of some of the greatest minds in baseball.
