Mia Dodd BSBA ‘27 (Marketing) was a Receptionist at Moore Shulman & Moore Law Firm in San Diego, California.

What was a typical day like?

A typical day consisted of an early morning wake up, breakfast, and a quick drive to the office. I would make the first pot of coffee for the team and then head to my desk. My primary responsibility was to answer phone calls, assist clients, and document information for potential new clients. 

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part of the experience was building new skills such as learning the firms software and building new professional relationships. 

What did you find most challenging?

The most challenging part of my job was handling the phone system and meeting the needs of the several attorneys and their teams at the firm. 

What did you learn?

I learned how to be more self sufficient, how to manage my money and my time.
