Amber Owens began teaching business communications at the Eller College in January 2019. Her classroom is characterized by active inquiry, learner-centered explorations and real-world application. She concurrently serves as the associate director of instructional design for the James E. Rogers College of Law. In this role, she leads a collaborative team to design, develop and deliver educational programs for online and hybrid programs with a global reach. Prior to her appointment with the University of Arizona, she served as an educator, consultant, manager and leader with top-tier business schools, education management companies and a nonprofit service agency. Throughout her career, she has created and implemented innovative solutions integrating sound learning theory, proven technology interventions and evidence-based teaching practices.
