James Powell joined the Eller College of Management in July 2022. Prior to joining Eller, he was a professor at the University of California, Berkeley since 1993. He earned his PhD in Economics from Stanford University in 1982, the same year he became an assistant professor at M.I.T, where he taught until 1985. His current research focus is on limited dependent variables, endogenous regressors and panel data.
