Zixu is a fifth-year doctoral student at the University of Arizona. She studies how people establish, protect, and reclaim social value at work as the contexts around them change. Her research examines (1) how employees navigate status hierarchies as group membership changes, and (2) how individuals pursue mobility, opportunities, and recognition amid political, technological, and organizational change. Across these streams, she uses a broad methodological toolkit, including daily and weekly experience-sampling studies, experiments, field surveys, meta-analysis, and archival analyses of professional and collegiate sports data.
