Charlette Padilla developed the Fashion major and minor at the College of Agriculture Life and Environmental Sciences (CALES). These programs provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, including trend analysis, production processes, and data analysis. She was also a full-time lead faculty member at Pima Community College, developing an innovative program in Fashion Consumer Sciences.

In addition to her teaching, Charlette is involved in Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) and serves as a Faculty Fellow, demonstrating her commitment to supporting students across disciplines. Charlette’s dedication to fostering comprehensive understanding is further evidenced by her three-year involvement in a captivating fashion study abroad program. This international initiative, conducted during the summer months, was set across England, France, and Italy.

A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Charlette graduated Cum Laude with a focus on apparel manufacturing and production. She later applied her skills in the retail sector, successfully owning and operating multiple clothing businesses. Charlette's diverse background in fashion and business allows her to guide students with practical insights and a global perspective.
