What You'll Learn

Work with faculty who know business and the healthcare industry from the inside out. Along with a diverse healthcare curriculum, you’ll take core business classes and experience hands-on healthcare consulting. You’ll graduate ready to move into—or move up in—healthcare administration.

The study of healthcare management is learning about how business works, specifically within the healthcare industry. Healthcare business and technology are evolving at a rapid-fire pace and deep insights into the business side of the healthcare industry are becoming a must. At Eller you will complete core courses covering subjects ranging from healthcare economics to market-based management. Then, you’ll complete healthcare- and business-related electives that let you hone in on your concentration of choice, choosing from Healthcare Leadership, Healthcare Informatics or Healthcare Innovation.

To earn your MHM, you will need to complete 17 core courses, nine elective units and four units of capstone credit for a total of 30 units.

The program can be completed in as little as 12 months. If you prefer to take a slower pace, you can take up to three years.

The program costs $30,000 ($1,000 per unit).

No, the program is 100 percent online. However, we do invite our online students to visit when they are able and we encourage them to take advantage of professional talks and networking events on campus. All are welcome to participate in convocation to mark and celebrate their accomplishment.

No, this program is asynchronous. The material is available online 24/7. Cover the material and complete the assignments for the week when it fits your schedule.

No, the GMAT and any other standardized tests are not required for admission to the MHM program.
