Two Eller Students Named in Poets & Quants’ “100 Best & Brightest Business Majors of 2020”
Every year, Poets & Quants recognizes undergraduate seniors who stand out among their peers through their academic performance and excellence, exceptional leadership demonstrated in extracurricular activities, exhibited potential for future success and overall character. Among these 100, two Eller seniors were selected for the award: Daniela Cuevas ‘20 BSBA (Finance) and Hunter Lindgren ‘20 BSBA (Marketing and Business Management).
Cuevas, president of both the Bobcats Senior Honorary and the University of Arizona Student Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America as well as an investment banking scholar in the Wall Street Scholars Program, was awarded for her dedication to not only her education but also others’ in finance: “Dani is a once-in-a-decade type of student,” says Associate Professor of Finance Alice Bonaime. “Dani finished at the top of her class, all while being involved on campus and giving back to her community by mentoring others interested in finance.”
Lindgren made it his focus to be involved in the University community; from his role as president in the Eller Leadership Board, to his engagement with Eller Make a Difference Day, to his position as lead professional development associate, Lindgren has made a significant impact at the Eller College of Management. M. Gray Hunter, economics lecturer, says: “Hunter is one of the most impressive students I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I consider myself lucky to have been able to work with him in such various ways.”
