Sports Management Speaker Series: Jon Pearlman and Javier Dominguez, FC Tucson

On November 6, the Sports Management Program at the Eller College of Management will host a sports management speaker series webinar with featured speaker Jon Pearlman, director of soccer operations at FC Tucson, a local soccer team that is part of the American soccer club.

During the webinar, Pearlman will share his background and expertise and describe how he came to enter and advance in the soccer world. He will also offer advice and answer questions on how to pursue a non-traditional career in sports. Pearlman began his time at FC Tucson as general manager before starting his position as director of soccer operations and has previous experience as executive director of coaching at Tanque Verde Soccer Club—another Tucson based soccer club.  

Pearlman will be joined by Javier Dominguez '21 BSBA who has been the marketing director at FC Tucson for four years. Dominguez currently handles all marketing efforts on behalf of the club and hosts large community events—his current project is planning a free girls’ soccer clinic for families in low economic areas.

The Sports Management Speaker Series is free and open to the public. Registration is now live on the Eller website.
