Aaron Rappoport was a MIS and Entrepreneurship major who graduated in May 2021.  Since graduating, he has accepted a position at Paradox as Associate Product Manager in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Why did you choose to work for Paradox?

As someone who always had an interest in product management, I wanted to work for a company that was building an innovative product to change the future. Paradox is doing exactly that by building the future of talent acquisition by creating a better option for finding jobs. That combined with the fact that everyone I met was kind and passionate immediately led me to pursue a career here.

Tell us about your job responsibilities and title.

As an Associate Product Manager, my roles and responsibilities wildly vary day to day. On a typical day, I am overseeing product development and building scalable solutions to help solve client problems. This includes: meeting with teammates, working alongside designers, and coordinating with engineering to ensure the most ideal result possible.

What do you enjoy most about working at Paradox?

Without a doubt, the level of responsibility that I am granted is the most enjoyable part of working at Paradox. Even as an entry level employee, I’m allowed to take lead of projects and lead initiatives on my  own with senior level product managers.

What is your fondest Eller memory?

My fondest Eller memory was participating in the McGuire center’s new venture competition with my group. We worked so hard all year, and although we didn’t win, it was such an enriching experience in  which I gained valuable experience that will stay with me through my entire professional career.

What advice to you have for Eller students seeking a similar career path?

My biggest piece of advice is to simply take chances. Reach out to that LinkedIn connection, apply to that dream job, join that startup. If you have an interest in product management, talk to people in the field and simply put your name out there.
