The Online Master of Science in Cybersecurity in Eller College of Management and College of Engineering at the University of Arizona has made it to the Fortune Education Best Online Master’s in Cybersecurity Degrees in 2022 for the first time, ranking at number six overall and number three among publics.

The online Master's in Cybersecurity is designed for working professionals who want to gain technical mastery in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity.

In this challenging yet inclusive online program, students learn how to assess, prevent and manage information and systems security-related risks by applying systems security management and post-breach practices through hands-on, interactive classes taught by the University’s outstanding faculty.

The 33-credit, interdisciplinary cybersecurity program enables students to complete a common core of courses and then select either the Information Systems or Physical Systems track.

There are two things that contribute to the strength of the MS Cybersecurity program: Our partnership with the College of Engineering—which allows us to provide courses in both information and physical systems security—and that we are able to leverage the MIS Department’s research and integrate it into courses, offering students experiences that they cannot get elsewhere,” says Sue Brown, APS Professor of MIS and MIS Department Head. “I’m extremely proud of the curriculum, our faculty and our graduates.”

The MS in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary program of the Department of Management Information Systems at the Eller College of Management and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Department of Systems & Industrial Engineering in the College of Engineering, offered through Arizona Online.
