“Jennifer is a perfect successor to George as EBRC Director,” says Jenny Flynn, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. “She is skilled, knowledgeable, and very thoughtful in the ways she provides community leadership through data. I look forward to working with her.”

Pullen brings more than a decade of experience leading the award-winning Making Action Possible (MAP) dashboard, a prominent economic indicators initiative that partners with regional government, the non-profit, and business communities to advance data-driven economic growth across Southern Arizona. She is an expert in translating economic data into clear, accessible information that supports informed decision-making among business leaders, policymakers, and residents. Under her leadership, the MAP Dashboard has sustained strong financial and institutional support, reaching over a thousand community stakeholders annually through presentations, publications, and media engagement.

“We’re thrilled that Jennifer has been named the director for The Economic and Business Research Center,” says Laura Shaw, chief communications officer, The Chamber of Southern Arizona. “She knows Tucson and Southern Arizona well and has a strong new vision for the enterprise.  We stand ready to partner closely with Eller in moving our economy forward into the future."

"Jennifer’s leadership at the Eller College’s Economic and Business Research Center is an exciting new chapter for the MAP Dashboard and for our region,” said Cristie Street, senior vice president and COO of Southern Arizona Leadership Council (SALC). “Her deep understanding of Arizona’s economy and her data-driven approach make her an exceptional partner. SALC looks forward to continuing our strong collaboration with Jennifer and the EBRC team to keep the MAP Dashboard a trusted resource for regional insight and progress.”

Pullen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Master’s in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the U of A. Before joining EBRC, Pullen served as program coordinator for the program on Economics, Law and the Environment (ELE) at the university. Her graduate work examined water markets and the effects of climate variability on market pricing in the western United States.

“Jennifer’s experience and strong presence in the Arizona business community make her a natural choice to usher in a new era of leadership at EBRC, amplifying Eller’s economic thought leadership in Arizona and beyond,” noted Anastasiya Ghosh, associate dean of Partnerships in the Eller College. “I look forward to working with Jennifer on several Eller-wide initiatives to expand our partnerships with Arizona’s leading organizations, such as SALC and the Chamber of Southern Arizona.”
