Eller College of Management Partners with Norton School of Human Ecology to Establish Pathway Collaborations
The Eller College of Management and the Norton School of Human Ecology at the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences are pleased to announce the undergraduate to graduate pathway collaborations. The pathways create a seamless, supportive bridge for Norton undergraduates who want to continue their education in high-demand business fields. Designed collaboratively by both colleges, Norton’s Personal & Family Financial Planning majors can transition into Eller’s Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program, and Norton’s Retailing & Consumer Science major can transition into Eller’s Master of Science in Marketing (MSM) program, through a simplified admission process with additional support.
These pathways were built around strong academic alignment and a shared commitment to student success. Both programs also offer dedicated support, early engagement opportunities and access to scholarships or seat fee waivers for top applicants.
Beyond the application experience, the pathways serve a larger purpose: giving Norton students an immediate, career-focused option to deepen their skills in analytics, financial strategy, consumer insights or marketing science. Many undergraduates leave college eager to compete for strong jobs but may lack the specialized training that today’s market expects. These pathways offer a built-in next step, one that keeps students within the supportive environment they know, while positioning them for long-term career success.
For Eller, the partnership strengthens on-campus collaboration with peer colleges, and builds a sustainable pipeline of well-prepared, mission-aligned students. For Norton, it offers a desirable graduate option for majors that do not have in-house master’s degrees. For students, it opens doors, turning strong undergraduate preparation into a direct, high-impact route toward advanced business education.
