Eller Make a Difference Day 2023
In October 2023, Eller College of Management held its annual Eller Make a Difference Day (EMADD)—a two-day event where Eller students partner with United Way in a series of volunteer opportunities throughout the community.
This year, EMADD was put on by students in the Business Management class lead by Pam Perry, senior associate dean of Eller programs along with Meghan Welsh, leadership, management and events manager of Eller Undergrauate Programs, and Jacque Quesada, EMADD student coordinator.
The purpose of EMADD is to unite the University of Arizona community and to promote kindness, positivity and making a difference.
"Eller Make a Difference Day continues to be a highlight experience for our students as they work to make an impact on the larger Tucson community," says Welsh. "From food banks to park clean ups, it is wonderful to see the collaboration and excitement our students have to help make a positive change."
This year's event had more than 700 volunteers participate in over 40 volunteer engagements that were spread across the entire Tucson community.
One of the events at this year's EMADD was a collaboration with some illustration classes within the College of Fine Arts to help provide mural outlines for volunteers to color in.
