Robert Griffin and Shane Moncada Join Center for Leadership Ethics Advisory Board

The Center for Leadership Ethics (CLE) at the Eller College of Management has recently announced the addition of Robert Griffin and Shane Moncada '92 BSBA (Economics) to its advisory board. Both Griffin and Moncada bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, further enhancing the CLE's mission of promoting ethical leadership in business and beyond.

Griffin, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 45 years of experience in the software and services industry, is currently a managing partner for DVI Equity Partners. He has shown an aptitude for guiding businesses to favorable exits, with six successful transitions in his entrepreneurial journey. Griffin facilitated the sale of his company, i2/COPLINK, to IBM in 2011, where he continued to lead as the general manager for the Safer Planet and Smarter Cities brand until 2017. 

Griffin's accolades extend beyond the realm of business. As a distinguished alumnus of the Naval Post Graduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security’s Executive Leadership Program, he has honed his leadership skills in environments demanding strategic acumen and ethical decision-making. Recognized as the 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year in Washington, DC, Griffin's contributions to innovation and export have earned him the Queen's Award for Enterprise Export and Enterprise Innovation. His expertise has been sought after by prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, and the University of Arizona Eller School of Management, where he has served as a distinguished lecturer. 

Moreover, Griffin's influence transcends academia. He has addressed global forums including the World Economic Forum and the World Conference on International Telecommunications, shedding light on critical issues such as technology's role in infrastructure protection and cybersecurity. Currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Eller College, Griffin's commitment to lifelong learning underscores his dedication to excellence in leadership and ethics.

Moncada brings a wealth of experience from the financial services industry to the CLE advisory board. With a career spanning over three decades, Moncada's journey began in 1992 when he entered the financial services sector. Graduating from, Eller, Moncada's professional ethos revolves around prioritizing his client's best interests. 

During his tenure at Signature Wealth Concepts, Moncada's commitment to personalized, goal-based financial guidance has earned him recognition as a Centurion Producer and a Million Dollar Roundtable qualifying member. His approach emphasizes not only navigating the challenges of today but also ensuring alignment with long-term financial goals. As an Arizona native, Moncada's roots in the community drive his passion for ethical leadership and stewardship. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Moncada is a devoted father to two sons and enjoys various recreational activities, including strength training, basketball, tennis and golf. His multifaceted interests reflect a balanced approach to life, echoing the importance of holistic well-being in ethical leadership. 

In joining the advisory board of the CLE, both Griffin and Moncada embody a commitment to fostering ethical leadership practices in business and society.
