Student-Made Arizona is an experimental learning program that engages and supports student entrepreneurs at the University of Arizona. Sponsored by the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship in the Eller College of Management, the program is led by a team of student managers. We uplift student creators by organizing on and off-campus pop-up markets, providing mentorship, and offering hands-on learning opportunities through workshops. Through Student-Made, we help students get their products in front of customers so they can learn in real time how to adapt and grow their brands.

At the heart of our work is the belief that students are not just learners, but artists, makers, and small business owners. Our creators include jewelers, photographers, herbalists, and other visionaries who are learning how to run a business while navigating college life. Through Student-Made Arizona, they’re building community, shaping their own paths, and learning skills that will help them navigate the future. “Student-Made has taught me how important community is when starting a business! Being able to participate in pop ups and meet customers face to face and learn their story inspires me to keep building my own through my paintings,” Student-Made creator Ashley Limbaugh shared.

This holiday season, Student-Made has teamed up with Made in Tucson (MinT) for their November 30th market. Made in Tucson the largest all-local market in Arizona and features more than 250 makers at their bi-annual events. Working with MinT resident artist Johnny Carrillo, our student creators have been busy designing an official event logo, learning screen-printing techniques, and preparing limited-edition merch for the market. “Working with Johnny and Made in Tucson has been such a unique opportunity,” said Student-Made manager and creator Hannah Contardi. “It’s given us a real look into the professional design process, from ideation and art submissions to branding, revisions, and screen printing. It’s been a tangible taste of what life as a professional designer feels like.” Come say hello to us at Made in Tucson!

Everything you buy from our student creators goes directly to them to keep fueling their businesses. Whether you come by one of our pop ups, order from our website, or want to make a custom order for some personalization or bulk gifting, we are so grateful for the opportunity to share our products with you.
