Deirdre Calhoun

Deirdre Calhoun is a Highly Qualified math teacher at Myers Ganong K-8 School in Tucson Unified School District. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was a technical writer and product manager for over ten years in the software industry, then taught at Civano Community School in Tucson. She was awarded a Transatlantic Outreach Program fellowship and travelled to Germany to study their STEM education and apprenticeship programs. She won the 2014 Eisle Award for Excellence in Elementary Economics Education in Arizona, as is author of many math lessons. She has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Learning.
