Most of my experimental research is on the formation of beliefs and their role in the process of decision-making. Using various methods of belief elicitation, I show how beliefs can characterize different types of players, and test their explanatory power on decisions and other outcomes.
I use asset markets experiments to study how dominant previous prices are when traders form their beliefs. I use other games such as ‘Ultimatum’, ‘Dictator’ and the famous ‘Beauty Contest’ to see how beliefs can characterize individual types.
In addition, I examine how different elicitation methods affect beliefs, and if elicited beliefs and individual choices are consistent.
