Josh Munn '25 BSBA (Finance & Certificate in Sports Management) interned at A-Champs in Barcelona, Spain.

If you worked on a big project during your internship, please describe what you did to help.

I worked on several projects throughout my time in Barcelona. They were mainly focused on business
development and expansion into U.S. markets. I conducted lots of market research and identified
potential affiliates for the company. Additionally, I helped revise company material to better suit US
markets. I also worked on creating a business plan to launch a new subscription model for the
company.

What did you find most challenging about your internship?

The most challenging parts of my internship were mostly adjusting to a new culture inside the
workplace. The company had employees from all over the world, so I had to learn their
communication styles and how to work with them in unique ways based on their backgrounds.

What advice do you have for other students that are also considering interning abroad?

I would advise that students take full advantage of everything their abroad experience has to offer.
While it may be tiring and difficult at times, I found it important to stay active by participating in new
cultural activities and making sure to see new places as often as I could.

How did Eller (or your previous coursework) prepare you for your internship?

My Eller experience has prepared me extremely well for my internship. I never felt as though I did not
know how to do certain tasks or projects. The projects I have previously completed in Eller were
similar to what I have been doing at my internship, and they are much easier for me due to my
coursework.
