2020 Graduate’s Inspiring Story Picked up by ABC Affiliate

Zachary Stout ’20 BA (Economics, Philosophy and Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law) ’21 MA (Philosophy) was featured by the local Tucson ABC affiliate station (KGUN) in a May 13 news article and corresponding video segment. The article describes Stout’s inspiring journey from being addicted to opioids and spending time in prison to now completing his bachelor’s degree at the Eller College of Management, with plans of one day working in criminal justice reform. 

The story originated with a student profile published in February by the Eller College. It was then picked up by The University of Arizona’s UANews, published on May 13 highlighting individuals in the Class of 2020 who have stories of perseverance and overcoming hardships.
