On February 17, the Eller College of Management’s Development and Alumni Relations Team held a unique stewardship event for donors who have gifted the College more than $10,000 or who have an Eller Estate in their name.

The event—dubbed “Pasta with Paulo”—was a fun-filled Zoom event in which 85 donors, Eller College Dean and Halle Chair in Leadership Paulo Goes and Chef Scott from Key Events all came together to cook and catch up.

Before the event, donors received a cutting board, an Eller branded knife, Eller branded wine tumblers as well as a box filled with the ingredients needed for the event, a bottle of wine and  instructions on how to store the ingredients.

During “Pasta with Paulo,” everyone had the opportunity to share stories about their memories at Eller; some donors also shared why they have supported the college with generous donations.

“‘Pasta with Paulo’ was such a naturally interactive event,” says Phoebe Chalk-Wadsworth, senior director of development. “It was great to see everyone gather with complete strangers, be excited about meeting people that they had common interests with and have some light-hearted fun, all while feeling like we were on a cooking show. It was the perfect way to thank some of our most significant donors.”

After cooking and eating, Dean Goes gave an update on the Eller College’s activities and initiatives.

“What an out of the box way to engage our supporters and alumni!” says Goes. “It was quite fun to see how our donors fared with the online learning our students have been experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
