Matt Hashim, associate professor of management information systems in the Eller College of Management, was featured in a January 30 Zippia.com article about current job market trends.

“The primary trend we have seen is the required transition to remote work,” says Hashim. “Remote work has place additional importance on virtual communication and collaboration within teams, organizations and between consultants and clients. Many are predicting to see an increased level of remote work persisting into a post-pandemic world as well as a shift in the workforce geographically.”

His main advice for graduates looking to find jobs is to be flexible and choose the opportunity that provides the best challenge and opportunity for career growth.

Hashim joined the Eller College of Management in 2011 after earning his PhD in Management Information Systems from Purdue University. He brings with him vast industry experience in the information technology field, including working as a network administrator, programmer and systems management manager. His research is focused around information security and privacy, digital piracy, experimental and behavioral economics and electronic commerce.
