The University of Arizona Eller College of Management is pleased to welcome Danny Seiden as the 2024 Eller Executive in Residence. Seiden is the current president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and brings to this role more than 16 years of experience in global public affairs and government relations as well as his keen ability to handle complex legal matters in private practice and public sector service.

“We are extremely honored to have Danny step into the role of our Eller Executive in Residence this year,” says Karthik Kannan, dean and Halle Chair in Leadership of the Eller College of Management. “This is such an important position within our college and we feel Danny will benefit our entire Eller family in boundless ways.”

The Eller Executive in Residence serves to positively influence students, faculty, staff and alumni of the Eller College by emphasizing the areas of work, diversity, equity and inclusion at the college and in the workforce, today and in the future. Each year, this role is filled by a respected leader in the community or the state.

"We’re thrilled to have Danny, an inspiring community leader with a rich background and strong ties to the business community, joining Eller as the Executive in Residence,” says Anastasiya Ghosh, associate dean of partnerships, associate professor of marketing and Susan and Philip Hagenah Endowed Faculty Fellow.  “We’re excited about the profound impact he will have on both our students and faculty, driving innovation and mentorship throughout our institution."

Seiden is a prime example of the type of individual it takes to serve as the Eller Executive in Residence. Prior to joining the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he served as general counsel to the Valor Global leadership team where he focused on helping achieve growth objectives and providing continued public affairs guidance in Arizona and Washington as well as other states.

Seiden’s lengthy resume also includes time at Intel and serving as a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, where he chaired the Phoenix office of government law and policy practice. From 2014 to 2018, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Arizona Governor Doug Ducey. During this time, he assisted in the passage of landmark legislation including the Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act and the K-12 education funding ballot referral.

Recently named among the 2023 Leaders of the Year in Public Policy by Arizona Capitol Times for his contributions in the field of law and public policy, Seiden earned his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Pepperdine University.

"I'm honored to be a part of the Eller Executive in Residence program. I look forward to working with students, faculty, and staff to share my experience in business and public policy,” says Seiden. “Eller and the University of Arizona are an important pipeline of talent into our private and public sectors, and I'm thrilled to play a part in that.”
