Students of all undergraduate majors within the Eller College of Management were assigned a designated day and time to attend Career Immersion Day. The events connect industry professionals and students in a speed networking activity. It also helped prepare students as they got ready to participate in Career Expo, the fall recruiting fair that drew over 60 employers to the University of Arizona.

Career Immersion gave students insight into positions and roles within their field of study from a broad spectrum of companies, learn about the career outlook and potential opportunities, network with leaders and mentors in the field, practice having conversations, and developing their personal brand.

General Mills, Liberty Mutual, Macy’s, PetSmart, Target, and Yelp were among the 26 companies that attended.

Though the occasion was set up in a structured manner, afterwards, students were free to network with whichever companies they had an interest in. Since each day of Career Immersion is split up by major, the employers were able to talk about which positions would best suit the students.
