Internship Spotlight: Brandon DeRosa, EY

Brandon DeRosa is an Accounting and MIS major graduating in the fall of 2021.  This summer he interned with EY as an Audit Intern in New York City and New Jersey.

What was a typical day like?

A typical day would start with a morning meeting with my team. We would go over the objectives for that given day and ask any questions we had. Then I would get the work that was assigned to me. If I had any questions during the day my team was  available to help me at anytime. On some days I was also able to sit in on meetings.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

My favorite part was getting to network with great people while learning something new everyday!

What did you learn?

The number one thing that I was able to learn during my internship was being able to see the process of an audit in real time. It was great exposure seeing each part come together.

How did Eller prepare you for this experience?

Eller taught me how to have an efficient work flow and communicate with others in a team setting.
